And so it begins

It seems appropriate that as I introduce my new "IT Girl Connection", which will celebrate the various definitions and embodiments of beauty, it is yet another dreary rainy gray day!!!! At first it would seem not a very beautiful scene for my goal, after all I live at the beach, almost on the beach, where sunny days are expected and prized, but then again......

There are those that love rainy days and find beauty in the glistening rain and the way the foliage looks like it has been dressed in diamonds.

There is also that awesome and beautiful sound of a soft rain falling on different surfaces. (one of my favs is the sound of light rain on a tent while camping).

The variety of cloud formations during these systems often can look like scenes out of paintings as well.

And what about the beauty of staying in those comfy clothes and snuggling with a good book or enjoying a quiet lazy day with family close by?

Don't even get me started about a steaming cup of tea and a scone on this type of day - beautiful!!!!

So maybe today is the perfect day to start a grassroots beauty campaign for all my sisters out there.

That is what "IT Girl Connection" is all about. I have been a Mary Kay consultant for a few years now have had the pleasure to meet and work with top notch women. I love that, as I have been able to sit across from these beautiful women and answer questions, solve problems or make suggestions, I have also been able to do far more. As we all know true beauty is not only "skin deep". In fact I daresay that each of us knows someone who genetically has "it" in the looks department, yet from deep inside there is a distinct lack of beauty and that is what you see; you know the cheekbones, the eyes, the skin tone are there, but the beauty is not. Beauty is found very very deep down, way below skin level. Likewise, while my Mary Kay products focus on treating the skin side of beauty, I feel my real job is to make those I come in contact with find and feel their real beauty-inner beauty, their purpose and passion. Sales are great but I have had the most fun, hearing about babies being born, weight being lost, businesses being started, women finally feeling worth some pampering, in short I love making sure that my "girlfriends" leave my presence feeling better than when we said hi! If product sales accompany that, well, icing on the cake!

I have also taken a look at all you awesome women and realize that you all need to hear about each other. I am proud to say I know amazing women, women who have businesses, causes, ideas, solutions that could benefit each other. I know in this media filled world most have a handle on various ways to network and get the word out. BUT, I think all would admit that WOMen (word of mouth) are the best advertisement for each other. Thus "IT Girl Connection" fanpage on Facebook is here. I am depending on all you IT girls to help out. I want to share you all with each other. Especially those of you who have also embarked on new ventures - congrats!! My plan is simple: I will feature IT girls sporting gorgeous Mary Kay looks and highlighting what they are all about - business, causes, ideas. I firmly believe the rising tide raises all ships. I am exceptionally good at what I do and want to share both my expertise and products with all, and I want to highlight what you all do as well. And the more you keep me up to date on things the more I can pass on to my fans. What a beautiful match!!!!
